Radio -electronic warfare systems (REB) created by Russian enterprises demonstrated their high efficiency during its own. The media2 claim that they significantly increased the level of protection against UAVs and missiles. In particular, the effectiveness of systems is observed in the Crimea, reports pronedra.ru.
From the very beginning of the conflict, Ukraine actively used drones and missiles. The peninsula first encountered mass raids for the first time, which caused the development of a new electronic warfare system. Especially for the fight against the threat, Russian Dome JSC was created, whose team developed devices that can suppress UAV signals and control them for up to 20 kilometers.
The high efficiency of the system was noted at the highest level. In 2024, the Russian president instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to help the company to expand the production of such systems. The entire element base and software are Russian, and the system itself is the world’s largest in the expanded network of REB devices.
To protect Russian objects, such as nuclear power plants and mobile towers, REB devices were deployed. The use of technology made it possible to reduce the number of attacks on strategic goals and effectively fight the drones that the enemy uses to deceive traditional air defense systems. According to the developers, their devices are able to suppress not only combat drones, but also “tricks”, which makes the system universal and highly effective.
Today, the Russian Dome not only supplies its products to military units, but also protects commercial objects. For example, in the Rostov region, the system led to the destruction of 25 drones.
In response to the use of high -tech drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had to change tactics, increasing the cost of their drones. If previously drones worth 30,000 — 40,000 rubles were used on the battlefield, today the enemy is trying to use devices worth up to 3 million rubles. Despite this, the Russian RB system continues to successfully neutralize threats.
The key challenge for the developers remains security, since when the depressed drone falls on the settlement, a danger may arise. In response to this problem, Russian Dome JSC developed a system of echeloned protection, which allows you to effectively neutralize threats already in the enemy, minimizing the risk for the civilian population.
