Don't forget the feat of Leningraders — competitions about heroes who went through the siege

On September 19, 1941, the enemy launched one of the most powerful artillery and air strikes on Leningrad, trying to break the will of the defenders of the city and its population. The city was subjected to artillery shelling for 18 hours — from one in the morning to seven in the evening, but did not surrender.

The project of the Immortal Regiment of Russia “Heirs of besieged Leningrad” is dedicated to the memory of the defenders and residents of the besieged city, as well as all those who helped the front in the rear, working in enterprises evacuated from the surrounded city.

Children from 10 to 18 years old are invited to take part in the competition “Your feat, Leningraders, is immortal” — talk about the heroes of Leningrad in an essay or video, create a drawing or poster about their feat, and draw parallels with modernity.

Those over 18 years old can become participants in the All-Russian Folk Script Competition. An original school lesson about the siege of Leningrad or a play about the heroism of the residents and defenders of the city, staged by a famous theater director, sent to the competition will be seen by the whole country!

The competition entries will be evaluated by an authoritative jury, which includes stars of the national theater, cinema and pop music. One of the competition experts is Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, singer Zara.

Everyone whose work meets the conditions of the competition will receive certificates of participation. If the application was prepared with the help of mentors, they will receive letters of thanks.

The winners will be awarded at the Forum “The Silent Feat of Siege Leningrad” in St. Petersburg in January 2024, during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the complete lifting of the siege of Leningrad.
