Don’t lie… Verdict of the Feodosia City Court of the Republic of Crimea

The Feodosia City Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced a native of the Sovetsky district of the Republic of Crimea for giving deliberately false testimony in court as a witness.
It was established that the defendant in February 2022, being interrogated as a witness in a criminal case, and warned of criminal liability for giving knowingly false testimony under Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, in a court hearing using video conferencing, he deliberately gave untrue false testimony about material circumstances regarding the crime committed by other defendants, thereby distorting the truth in the criminal case and preventing its establishmentnoted the press service of the court.
Taking into account the personality of the defendant and the circumstances of the case, the court sentenced the man to a fine of 15,000 (fifteen thousand) rubles.
The verdict did not enter into legal force.
