Don't panic, there's a fire! Exercises of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Sudak
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Elimination of a simulated fire at objects with large numbers of people is one of the most common introductory exercises in fire-tactical exercises of Crimean firefighters. The object of the training this time was one of the rest houses in Sudak, on the territory of which there are three dormitory buildings.
According to legend, a short circuit caused a fire in one of the rooms on the third floor of the guest building. Smoke quickly filled the neighboring rooms. Some visitors were able to leave the building and go to a safe area on their own. Unfortunately, not everyone made it out. Three people were cut off from exits.
Firefighters from the 21st fire and rescue unit quickly arrived at the scene. In a matter of minutes, they carried out a combat deployment and began searching and rescuing people. The GDZS unit removed the conditionally injured people from the smoke-filled area and handed them over to emergency medical personnel.
The exercises tested the joint actions of the Feodosia local fire and rescue garrison, facility personnel and interacting services— reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.
In total, 45 personnel and 10 pieces of equipment from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in the exercises.
