Drug dealer-pawnbroker convicted in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, a member of an organized group that was involved in the illegal sale of drugs was sentenced to 11.5 years in prison.
The prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol proved in court the guilt of a 28-year-old local resident — a member of an organized group involved in the illegal sale of drugs. The verdict was pronounced by the Nakhimovsky District Court of Sevastopol based on the verdict of a panel of jurors, who came to the conclusion that the attacker was guilty and did not deserve leniency. The man was convicted under Part 3 of Art. 30 — pp. “a”, “d” part 4 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs using the Internet by an organized group, on a large scale)reports the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
It was established that in April 2021, acting as part of an organized group, he received drugs, packaged them into smaller doses and made “bookmarks” for further illegal sale using an online store. Police officers seized the drugs MDMA, LSD and cannabis during a search in the garage he rented and from his hiding place.
The investigation was carried out by the investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol. Two of the man’s accomplices are currently wanted.
The court, taking into account the opinion of state prosecutors from the prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol, sentenced the perpetrator to 11 years and 6 months of imprisonment in a high-security correctional colony.
