Dry autumn – weather forecasters note “lack of precipitation” in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Crimean weather forecasters are summing up the results of almost summer October. The Federal State Budgetary Institution “Crimean Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring” notes: the precipitation that fell in October in Crimea was short-term, local in nature and extremely unevenly distributed across the river basins. The average is 58-76% of the norm.
In the Crimean Mountains, as in the previous two months, there was a significant lack of precipitation: in the area of operation of the Ai-Petri weather station it was 47%, and in the area of the Angarsky Pass weather station — 60%. The unfavorable weather conditions contributed to the strengthening of the autumn low-water regime, which is typical in the Crimean river basins at this time of year. Further gradual depletion of water content continued. The Alma River above the Partizan Reservoir has been dry for 64 days. Most mudflow rivers in the municipal districts of Alushta, Sudak and Feodosia remain drysay hydrologists.
The influx of water into natural flow reservoirs (in million cubic meters) was: Belogorskoye — 0.7, Simferopolskoye — 0.5, Schastlivenskoye — 0.1, Chernorechenskoye — 0.1.
The total total volume of water in the Crimean reservoirs of natural flow by the beginning of November amounted to 135.08 million cubic meters, which is almost 13 million cubic meters less than a month ago.
