Dry grass is burning in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Over the past 24 hours, firefighters from the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Fire Protection of the Republic of Crimea” were called in 3 times to extinguish dry vegetation fires.
Thus, in the Leninsky district, the duty crew of the fire department of the city of Shchyolkino went out to extinguish a fire of dry vegetation near the city on an area of 500 sq.m. Firefighters of the fire department of the village of Roshchino extinguished a fire of 150 sq.m. in the area of the village of Timiryazevo (Dzhankoy district). The fire department of the village of Novoandreyevka extinguished a fire of dry vegetation on an abandoned construction site in the Simferopol district. The area of the fire was 400 sq.m.— the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Crimea reported.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea draws the attention of citizens: abnormally hot weather is expected on August 22-25. The maximum air temperature will be 32°…37° degrees. In these temperature conditions, there is a risk of landscape fires.
Also on the territory of Crimea A special fire safety regime has been in effect since April 17, 2024.
It is strictly prohibited:
— make fires, burn waste, burn dry grass, garbage, burn stubble, crop residues and make fires in fields and forests;
— leave containers with flammable and combustible liquids or gas cylinders in open areas and courtyards;
— use fire-resistant distances between buildings and structures for storing construction materials;
— throwing away burning matches and cigarette butts.
— leave self-igniting material or glassware in the forest, which in sunny weather can focus the sun’s rays and ignite dry vegetation.
