Dry September did not benefit Crimean reservoirs

Forecasters note: this year September in Crimea was extremely dry. The precipitation that fell in the river basins was torrential, short-term and of an exclusively local nature, note specialists from the Crimean Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring.
In the river basins, precipitation fell from 1 mm to 47.3 mm, which in the Kuchuk-Karasu river basin amounted to 148% of the norm (for one rainfall); in the Biyuk-Karasu river basins it was within the normal range, and in the other river basins – within the range of 2-39% of the norm. In the Angara River basin, above the village of Perevalnoye, no precipitation was observed at allhydrologists said.
In the Crimean Mountains there was a significant lack of precipitation. 11.6 mm of precipitation fell on Ai-Petri (17% of the norm), and in the area of the Angara Pass — 11.8 mm of precipitation (19% of the norm).
Accordingly, the influx of water into natural flow reservoirs decreased and in millions of cubic meters amounted to: Belogorskoye — 1.96, Simferopolskoye — 0.36, Schastlivenskoye — 0.18, Chernorechenskoye — 0.12.
If we talk about the percentage filling of Crimean reservoirs, the figures are as follows:
- Izobilnenskoe – 85%,
- Zagorskoye – 83%,
- Simferopol — 76%,
- Partisan — 71%,
- Chernorechenskoye – 70%.
- Schastlivenskoye – 46%,
- Ayanskoye – 45%,
- Belogorskoe – 32%,
- Taiganskoe – 16%.
