Due to mass power outages in Crimea, the number of emergency teams has been increased

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The number of electrical teams has been increased in the Republic of Crimea to restore power supply after mass outages due to abnormal heat, said the head of the region, Sergei Aksenov.

On Saturday near Alushta happened flare fire on the gas distributor, it was extinguished, there were no casualties as a result of the emergency. At the same time, the fire spread to the forest. It did not threaten residential buildings, but due to damage to the networks, gas supply had to be suspended for 14 settlements.

The accidents are primarily related to the increased load on the power grid due to the use of ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The most difficult situation at the moment is in Alushta and the surrounding areas of the urban district. Here, after an accident on the gas pipeline, the load on the electrical grid has increased significantly. Due to the extreme heat, the number of Krymenergo emergency teams has been increasedhe wrote.

To reduce the load on the power grid, Aksyonov called on residents to refrain from turning on powerful electrical appliances at the same time or to turn them on one at a time.

Accidents happened in the settlements of Yevpatoria, Saksky, Simferopolsky, Krasnogvardeysky and Bakhchisaraysky districts, some villages of Yalta, Alushta and Simferopol. Earlier, forecasters announced a storm warning in the Republic of Crimea from July 7 to 11 due to abnormal heat up to 38 degrees Celsius.
