In Yalta, the “Health Run” planned for 19 January and all recreational activities were canceled, and swimming will be organized according to weather conditions.

As the head of the Simeiz territorial body, Mikhail Antoshkin, explained, it was difficult to get to the Bashmak beach in Simeiz, where Epiphany bathing was to take place tomorrow, due to icing on the road.

Due to weather conditions, it is extremely difficult to provide medical assistance and work of rescuers during Epiphany bathing. The bottom will also not be explored. Security will not be provided , Antoshkin stressed.

He recommended that the residents of the village refrain from swimming on the Shoe beach.

In addition, due to bad weather and in connection with the introduction of “covid” restrictions from 17 January, all entertainment events for Epiphany, as well as the “Health Run” planned for this day, bathing will be organized based on from weather conditions. On the beach near the Chapel of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia, the bottom will be examined and a corridor will be provided with specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and doctors.
