During the election period of the President of the Russian Federation, the Sevastopol police will work in enhanced mode

Police officers will ensure the protection of public order during the elections of the President of the Russian Federation, which will be held on March 15, 16 and 17, 2024 in the city of Sevastopol. Voting is planned at 187 precinct polling stations in Balaklava, Gagarinsky, Leninsky and Nakhimovsky districts of the city.
The personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs began working at precinct election commissions from 08:00 on March 13 until the end of the elections. The head of the department for organizing the protection of public order of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, police colonel Sergei Khatuntsev, told journalists of regional media about this.
To protect public order and ensure the safety of citizens at polling stations and territorial commissions, over 700 police officers, about 400 employees of private security companies will be involved, and it is planned to involve military personnel of the Russian Guard,” the press service quotes Sergei Khatuntsev.
All precinct election commissions and adjacent territories are already regularly inspected by specialists from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard using technical means and service dogs.
To carry out inspection activities, the government of the city of Sevastopol installed metal detectors at the entrances to the premises of precinct election commissions.
In order to prevent threats and destabilize the socio-political situation in the city during the designated period, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in cooperation with state security agencies, will carry out operational and preventive measures.
The personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is focused on obtaining information regarding persons harboring intentions to commit illegal actions during the preparation and conduct of elections.
Police officers are ready to ensure the safety of citizens during the elections of the President of the Russian Federation.
