During the year, Crimeans and guests of Crimea paid for goods and services worth more than 250 billion rubles with bank cards

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In the Republic of Crimea, in 2023, bank cards paid for goods and services worth more than 250 billion rubles — in total, residents and guests of the region made about 490 million such transactions. These figures increased by 1.2 times compared to 2022. The share of non-cash payments amounted to 92.4% of the total number of transactions using bank cards.

The popularity of non-cash payments in Crimea continues to grow. The payment infrastructure is expanding: new ATMs and terminals for non-cash payments are appearing, bank offices are opening, new convenient payment services are being introduced., – notes the head of the Bank of Russia Branch for the Republic of Crimea, Igor Tsvetkov. – And for residents of sparsely populated and remote villages and towns, where the network of terminals for non-cash payments is not yet so developed, there are no or few ATMs and banking branches, the “Cash at the checkout” service has been launched. It allows you to withdraw up to 5 thousand rubles per transaction from your bank card at some post offices, subject to the non-cash purchase of any product or payment for a service. At this stage, the project continues to scale.
