Easter index in 2025: how much will the preparation of the main dishes for the Easter table cost

The Center for Strategic Development has released the Easter index, in which he compared the cost of ingredients in the regions of Russia to prepare the «obligatory dishes» of the Easter table — cakes, eggs and cottage cheese Easter.

The average price of products for the preparation of the main set of Easter table dishes in 2025 for a family in Russia amounted to 495 rubles 35 kopecks.

The increase in value in relation to last year’s Easter amounted to 11.7%.

Of the federal districts, the cheaper preparation for Easter will cost in the Volga Federal District — 428 rubles 6 kopecks.

The lowest increase in prices for the necessary set of products is 9.1% — in the Central Federal District. The most expensive products will cost in the Far Eastern Federal District — 646 rubles 84 kopecks.

The top of the Russian regions at the most minimum cost included: the Republic of Mordovia (₽397,28) — the only region where the cost is less than 400 rubles, the Penza region (₽402.43), the Chuvash Republic (₽409,29), the Kirov region (₽412.35), the Nizhny Novgorod Region (₽414.57 rubles).

Also in the range of up to 450 rubles, Easter set in the Belgorod, Volgograd, Omsk, Samara, Lipetsk, Kursk, Smolensk, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Orenburg regions, republics: Udmurtia, Tatarstan, Mari El, Bashkortostan, Adygea.

The least prices for Easter set rose in the Republic of Adygea and the Oryol region (+1.1%), the Smolensk region (+3.1%), the Pskov region (+3.9%), the Kursk region (+5.2%), the Belgorod region (+5.5).

The increase in prices did not exceed the total inflation (10.3%) in the thirds of the regions of the country (33 regions).

The index has been produced by the CSR since 2024 on Clean Thursday on the eve of Easter Christians and made based on the average of 4 people.
