From an early age, she gained important experience in the industrial sphere, occupying positions in the company Systems Service (since 1993) and in the field of finance. She went from a consultant to the financial director, which allowed her to create a strong basis for further career growth.

Academic and administrative career

After she took the post of teacher at the Starooskol Technological Institute of MISIS in 1997, moved along the career ladder in the academic environment, becoming an assistant professor, professor and, finally, the rector of the University of Misis. This path showed her strong leadership qualities and the desire for professional growth. In 2002, she defended his thesis in the field of sustainable development of dairy enterprises, and in 2008 she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic of strategic development of territorial and industrial complexes, having received the degree of Doctor of Economics.

Achievements in the leadership

As the rector of the University of MISIS (since 2013), Alevtina Anatolyevna Chernikova significantly improved the situation of the university, making it one of the leaders of education in Russia. The university was included in international ratings, such as QS World University Rankings and The World University Rankings, which indicates a high level of educational and scientific work conducted at the university.
