Maternity capital funds, notes Interfax-Real Estate, can now be used for the reconstruction of townhouses and compensation of costs if the work has already been carried out. This was announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Speaking at a government meeting, the Prime Minister recalled the task set by the Russian President to make housing under construction more affordable for families.
The government provides an additional opportunity for citizens to use maternity capital in order to improve their living conditions“, Mishustin said, reporting that the corresponding resolution had been signed. — Now it will be possible to use such funds for the reconstruction of a house in a so-called blocked development, or, as it is more often called, a townhouse, as well as to pay with maternity capital for construction work already carried out in such housing.
The government expects that these measures will primarily help families with children improve their living conditions.
If such housing is increased, Russians, upon confirmation of the work, will be able to compensate for the costs from maternity capital. The Ministry of Construction will approve the form of the supporting document, which can be received within 10 working days.
