International master of sports Elena Gapeshina from Sevastopol became the silver medalist of the Russian Women’s Boxing Championship. The competitions took place on November 3-11 in the capital of Bashkortostan — Ufa.

A student of SSHOR No. 4 (coach – Ruslan Davidenko) climbed to the podium in the weight category up to 75 kg. Elena Gapeshina had three fights in Ufa: she won two by unanimous decision, but in the final, unfortunately, she lost on points to Anastasia Shamonova from the Krasnodar Territoryreports Crimean Sport.

It should be noted that a total of 174 athletes from 49 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the championship. 12 sets of awards were raffled off.
