Emergency in Crimea: a person was hit by a freight train. Died

At 21:40 on December 24, the duty unit of the Crimean Line Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for transport received a message that in the Sovetsky district, at the 58-kilometer section of the station. Krasnoflotskaya freight train hit a person.

During the visit of the investigative and operational group of the transport police, it was established that a 70-year-old resident of the village of Sovetsky died at the scene of the incident from his injuries. The driver of the electric train, noticing the man, sounded a sound signal and applied emergency braking, but the collision could not be avoided. During the interview, the driver explained that the man did not respond to the signals he gave. During the survey, it was established that the deceased did not have a permanent place of residence, lived in abandoned buildings, not far from the scene of the incident, often begged for alms, and spent the money he received on the purchase of alcoholic beverages. The materials were sent to the investigative authorities to make a procedural decision.,” the department’s press service reported.

Transport police remind residents of Crimea about the rules of personal safety at railway transport facilities and urge them to be attentive to their implementation.
