Emergency in Kerch — a baby was found in one of the entrances of an apartment building

The Main Investigation Department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol organized a procedural verification of information from social networks about the presence of a four-month-old child in a helpless state in one of the entrances of an apartment building in Kerch.

The check is carried out to determine whether the actions of legal representatives contain signs of crimes provided for in Articles 156 and 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Failure to fulfill parental responsibilities in raising a minor” and “Leaving in danger”),” noted the Sledkom.

The investigative department for the city of Kerch established that on the evening of January 5, residents of a house on L. Tolstoy Street found a crying four-month-old boy on the staircase. The child lived in a family where the day before there had been a feast with guests. This family, which also has a one-and-a-half-year-old child, is not registered with the preventive authorities, but is characterized by its neighbors as unsatisfactory.

The boy is currently in a medical facility, where doctors are monitoring his health for preventive purposes. The investigation establishes the circumstances of the incident and the events preceding it. Documents were requested from law enforcement and other agencies in order to study the situation in the family. Parents will be given a fundamental assessment regarding the proper care of their children and the organization of the educational process as a whole.– reported in Sledkom.

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea also organized an investigation into possible violations of the rights of a young child in Kerch. It is emphasized that during the organized supervisory activities, the prosecutor’s office will evaluate the actions of parents, as well as authorized officials of the prevention system.

ADDED: Kerch police have established the circumstances of the incident with the baby. It’s all a certain guest’s fault! The day before, a friend of the parents, a man born in 1988, was visiting a family with two young children. After drinking alcohol together while the parents were sleeping, the guest took the child out of the apartment. However, after the boy began to cry, the man decided to leave him on the staircase. The baby is currently in a medical facility. His life and health are not in danger. The inquiry department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kerch is deciding on the initiation of a criminal case under Article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (leaving in danger).
