Emergency in Simferopol: a child fell from a third floor window of a school

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The boy survived but suffered serious injuries.

The investigator and the prosecutor’s office are checking the circumstances of the incident — the fall of a 12-year-old child from the window of one of the schools in Simferopol.

Investigators from the Investigation Department for the Central District of Simferopol immediately went to the scene of the incident. The victim’s parents, his classmates and the teaching staff of the school are currently being interviewed.— reported in Sledkom.

It was established that a 5th grade student during a break opened a window in a classroom on the 3rd floor, sat down on the windowsill and fell. The child was taken to a medical facility with serious injuries, where he is receiving medical care. There is no threat to his life.

During the inspection, the actions of officials of the educational institution who committed safety violations and prevention authorities will be assessed. Based on the results, a lawful, informed procedural decision will be madenoted the Investigative Committee.

According to preliminary information, the minor’s family is not registered.

During the organized supervisory activities, all the circumstances of the incident will be established and an assessment will be made of the implementation of legislation in the organization of the educational process. The progress and results of the inspection were taken under control in the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic— reported the supervisory agency.
