In the Black Sea region of Crimea, investigators are conducting an investigation into the death of a 51-year-old man from carbon monoxide poisoning and the hospitalization of his partner
On November 12, in the bathroom of a private household in the village of Kirovskoye, the body of the owner of the house was found, as well as his common-law wife in an unconscious state with signs of carbon monoxide poisoning. It was established that the day before, the woman’s brother, on his own, in the absence of education and design, as well as a hood, installed a gas boiler in the bathroom, connecting it to bottled gas. During its operation, the owner of the house received poisoning incompatible with life. His partner is currently in the intensive care unit of a medical institution in serious condition. The couple’s three minor children were not injured as a result of the incident and are at the place of residence of close relatives— reported the Investigative Committee.
Investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Based on the results of the inspection, a lawful, informed procedural decision will be made.
The prosecutor’s office is also conducting an investigation. The supervisory authority clarified some details. The emergency happened in a house at the address: Kirovskoye village, st. Budyonny. The man, born in 1972, died on the spot. A woman born in 1983 was hospitalized.
