Emergency in the Kirov region of Crimea — a child died from electric shock

Investigators will establish the circumstances of the death of a teenager from electric shock in a transformer substation in the Kirov region of Crimea.
The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol opened a criminal case for causing death by negligence due to improper performance by a person of his professional duties (Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)— reported in Sledkom.
The Kirov Interdistrict Investigation Department established that on November 4, a 13-year-old local resident climbed into the premises of a transformer substation in the area of the village of Krinichki, to which there was open access, receiving multiple electrical injuries incompatible with life.
Investigators inspected the scene of the incident, ordered forensic examinations, and studied technical documentation on the maintenance of the structure. During the investigation, the actions of specialists responsible for compliance with safety regulations during the operation of the substation will be assessed.
