Emergency situation in the Kirov region of Crimea. What Sergei Aksyonov told the President of the Russian Federation

Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov took part online in a meeting of the President with members of the Government of the Russian Federation. Among the issues raised during the meeting, the situation in the Kirov region of Crimea was discussed.

Sergei Aksyonov said that the fire at the military training ground started at around 4 am today. As a result, part of the ammunition that was stored there was detonated.

The operational headquarters was assembled within an hour. It included representatives of federal, republican and municipal authorities. Worked out the situation together with law enforcement agencies— said the Head of the Republic.

Sergei Aksyonov informed that after assessing the situation, it was decided to evacuate the inhabitants of four villages within a radius of 5 kilometers from the epicenter.

At the moment, 217 people, including 55 children, are in temporary accommodation centers. Citizens are provided with hot meals, drinking water and everything necessary— said the Head of the Republic of Crimea.

Also, according to Sergei Aksyonov, traffic on the Tavrida highway has been suspended within the Kirovsky district. A detour has been organized: additional traffic police posts have been set up, signs have been posted, up-to-date information is published in official sources.

I thank my colleagues from the federal center, municipal authorities and law enforcement agencies for their promptness and coordinated actions. All instructions of the President are carried out— added Aksyonov.

According to the latest data, burning at the landfill in the Kirovsky district is still ongoing. Officially, the causes of the incident have not yet been named.
