Emin Sefershaev from Simferopol-two-time European champion in the Greco-Roman wrestling
Krympress reports:
International class master Emin Sefershaev from Simferopol (coach-Sergey Popenkov) became the European Greco-Roman wrestling champion-2025. Competitions from the 7th to 13th April are held in the capital of Slovakia-Bratislava.
On the eve of April 12, in the final of the weight category up to 55 kg Sefershaev in terms of additional indicators (the final score — 1: 1) coped with his most fundamental opponent in the international arena — the four -time world champion and the two -time European champion Eldaniz Azizley from Azerbaijan. In favor of Emin, changes in the rules of the struggle played: with the score of 1: 1, the winner is the one who was the first to earn a score. This innovation brought Crimean the second in the “gold” career of the continental championship (the first was won in 2021 in the capital of Poland — Warsaw).
It should be noted that on the way to the current “gold” in the quarter -finals, our fellow countryman did not leave the Slovak Arnold Megali (9: 0), and in the semifinals defeated the current winner of the title of Artem Delean from Moldova (4: 1).
