Employees of «CRIMEA-SPAS» trained to save a drowning man. At night and from the air…

8 rescuers from the Evpatoria and Simferopol emergency rescue teams of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «CRIMEA-SPAS» conducted training on non-parachute landing together with pilots of the Southern Aviation Rescue Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia (SASC EMERCOM of the Russian Federation). The practical lesson took place in the village of Nikolaevka, Simferopol district.
Using the standard lifting equipment of the MI-8 helicopter, employees of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «CRIMEA-SPAS» worked out actions to rescue conditional victims from the water surface during the day and at night. While the helicopter was hovering from a height of 30 meters, 24 descents and ascents were carried out to provide assistance to a conditionally drowning person. At this time, safety on the water was ensured by an additional group of rescuers from the Evpatoria detachment at the m/s «Burevestnik-530»,” noted the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Crimea.
In addition, employees of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea “CRIMEA-SPAS”, in the dark, practiced practical descents from a helicopter hovering at a height of 30 m to a prepared site using a descent device. A total of 32 descents were carried out. During the exercises, special attention was paid to working out the interaction and coherence of the aircraft crew with the release and with the rescuers who carry out the landing from the aircraft.
