Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Yalta took part in the action dedicated to the Day of Russian Students

On the eve of the Yalta police joined the All-Russian action «Student landing». Students of universities and high school students of general education institutions were invited to the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta for a one-day internship in police units in order to get acquainted with the service in the internal affairs bodies.
Students of city schools and universities saw the work of duty officers, who told the children about the importance of timely contacting the police and how a prompt response to received information of an illegal nature takes place. The youth also took part in the training of service dogs aimed at searching for missing people, drugs and explosives. The police cynologist drew the listeners’ attention to the peculiarity of working with service dogs — this is a long and painstaking work. The time for learning the necessary skills depends on the breed and nature of the animal, but for each dog taken into service, you can find an approach , — the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea notes.
Forensic experts told the guests about the specifics of their work: that the main task when leaving for the scene is to collect traces and objects that will later become evidence of a person’s involvement in a crime. Also, the children were shown a unified forensic suitcase designed to remove samples from a crime scene, and they were told about the technique of collecting material evidence. Then the police demonstrated how fingerprints and footprints were removed using special powders. Schoolchildren and students tried to conduct fingerprinting on their own.
For teenagers in the courtyard of the Directorate, the police organized a demonstration performance, during which they showed wrestling techniques and told how important it is to have self-defense techniques and correctly apply it in practice.
At the end of the meeting, Alexander Shamurin, Deputy Head of the Department for Work with Personnel, explained to those present the advantages of serving in the police and the requirements for admission.
