Employees of the Special Squad of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for Sevastopol are returning to the Northern Military District zone to continue demining work

Employees of the Specialized Detachment of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the city of Sevastopol will continue the mine clearance mission in the area of ​​the special military operation. On April 14, the group left Hero City to carry out tasks in the Donbass.

Sevastopol specialists will be part of a combined detachment together with representatives of the Center for Special Risk Rescue Operations “Leader”, the Don and Noginsk rescue centers, and the Ural Training and Rescue Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

After combat coordination, specialists from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations will again have to do painstaking work to clear the area of ​​ammunition to restore the regional infrastructure and ensure the safety of the civilian population. Under close attention are energy supply facilities, power lines, water pipelines, bridges, overpasses, railways, and residential neighborhoods. A large-scale set of measures — however, the Sevastopol pyrotechnicians of the emergency department are full of determination and confident in their abilities, because this is not the first time for them to work in liberated territories.

Let us remind you that the combined detachment of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has been carrying out the mission to clear mines from the Donbass lands since 2022. Work is carried out from spring to late autumn. In 2023 alone, the combined detachment of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations neutralized more than 58,000 explosive objects behind the tape.

Before the departure of the group, a ceremonial formation took place. The head of the Specialized Detachment of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, Colonel of the Internal Service Nikolai Tiselsky, who will personally take part in the mission, addressed the employees with parting words.
