There are only a few days left until the new year begins. At this time, plans for the future are made, results are summed up, and all significant matters are completed as much as possible, including those related to paying taxes.

On December 1, the annual deadline for paying property taxes for individuals who are owners of movable and/or immovable property expired.

It is important to know that accounting for all tax assessments and their payment for the convenience of citizens is carried out only in one tax authority of the region where the citizen is officially registered, regardless of the subject of the Russian Federation in which the real estate is located.

To pay property taxes, the service generates consolidated tax notices for the previous calendar year, which are sent to the taxpayer. If a citizen has a personal account on the tax service website, then by default, notifications are not sent by mail, but are posted in the taxpayer’s personal account.

The tax service generates a general consolidated tax notice, which contains the amount for all property taxes.

The deadline for paying property taxes is the same for all citizens — no later than December 1 of the year following the reporting year. That is, everyone who owns apartments, houses, other real estate, land plots and vehicles for 2022 was required to pay tax no later than December 1, 2023.
