Ensuring the social support of veterans of the Great Patriotic War in Simferopol

The Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Administration of the city of Simferopol pays special attention to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and participants in the hostilities of 1941-1945 living in the city.

Currently, in Simferopol there are 13 participants in the hostilities of the Great Patriotic War.

Constant contact has been established with each of them and interacts with both veterans and members of their families to identify and quickly solve the problems that arise. Each veteran has been assigned a deputy of the Simferopol City Council, who, together with the employee of the department, interacts.

In accordance with the current legislation, veterans of the Great Patriotic War in the Crimean capital receive the following social support measures:

— 100% discount on the payment of housing and utilities;

— compensation for the value of the overhaul of common property in apartment buildings;

— Preferential travel in public transport.

— A one -time payment of 200 thousand rubles from the budget of the Republic of Crimea, produced on the eve of Victory Day. Previously, the amount of payment was 50 thousand rubles.

As part of additional support using the funds of the municipal budget, veterans of the Great Patriotic War receive:

-one-time cash payment of 10 thousand rubles on the day of the release of the city of Simferopol from the Nazi invaders;

— a one -time cash payment of 7 thousand rubles to persons having the status of a resident of the besieged Leningrad or a resident of the besieged Sevastopol.

— a one -time cash payment of 5 thousand rubles from the municipal budget former minor prisoners of concentration camps now living in the city of Simferopol.

In February 2023, by the decision of the Simferopol City Council, the honorary title “Honorary Citizen of the city of Simferopol” was awarded to veterans of the Great Patriotic War — participants in hostilities. 9 disabled people of the Great Patriotic War were awarded this high rank. Among them: Gusev Mikhail Ivanovich, Dubina Anna Andreevna, Zhukova Larisa Ignatievna, Kotolupov Nikolai Ivanovich, Mironova Zoya Maksimovna, Torobenko Alexander Nikolaevich, Potekhina Nina Vladimirovna, Rubinovsky Georgy Nikolaevich and Smirnova Rosalia Franzovna. For four more veterans, such a title will be awarded in the near future.
