The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea Tatyana Manezhina reported that the events dedicated to the International Day of Museums were attended by more than 26 thousand Crimeans and guests of the peninsula.
According to the minister, extensive programs of events for the All-Russian cultural and educational event “Night of Museums” and the republican event “Open Doors Day” were prepared for visitors. About 150 excursions, exhibitions, quizzes, lectures, master classes, creative classes, and concerts took place in 15 republican museums and their departments, which in the Year of the Family revealed the theme “From generation to generation. Family heirlooms.» In addition to events in institutions, everyone could virtually watch on Internet resources online excursions, presentations, lectures, reviews and other video projects that collected more than 18 thousand views.
Thus, at the Central Museum of Tavrida, the event was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, Olga Burova. The exhibition “Tauride Province: Two Centuries for the Benefit of the Fatherland” was presented, an event of donating cultural property was held — the chairman of the public organization “Historical Club “Tauride Sevastopol”, executive secretary of the RIO in Sevastopol Vadim Prokopenkov donated a collection of postcards of Crimean views of the early twentieth century, and conversations at the exhibition “Family Traditions: Porcelain Factories of the 18th – 19th Centuries”, master class on creating appliqué.
At the Crimean Ethnographic Museum, guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with museum exhibitions and displays: “Mosaic of Crimean cultures”, “Russian samovar. Spendiaryovs. Ferreins. Family Stories” was organized at the Historical Museum. Guests visited the exhibitions “Crossroads of Centuries”, “Pythos as the Meaning of Life”, “Lapidal Monuments of the Middle Ages”, and were able to plunge into the history of the ancient fortress city. The Historical Museum introduced us to the unique historical and cultural heritage of one of the most picturesque corners of Crimea and allowed us to discover the centuries-old history of Sudak.
Video materials provided by the Central Museum of Taurida, the Crimean Academic Puppet Theater, and the Museum of the History of the City of Simferopol were broadcast to users of the website of the Crimean Republican Library for Youth.

Employees of the M. A. Voloshin House-Museum told visitors about the family traditions that developed in the family of Maximilian and Maria Voloshin. Presentation of the exhibition took place «I have the honor of being Russian” for the 295th anniversary of Catherine II.
