Every fourth employer in Crimea believes that it is better to build a career before having children

In the service survey SuperJob Representatives of companies and economically active residents of Crimea took part.
49% of employers claim that the birth of children does not affect a woman’s career. Every fourth person believes that it is better to build a career before the appearance of heirs. Every sixth person believes that the heights of the profession are best achieved by women who already have children. There is no clear position among employers regarding the optimal duration of parental leave for career women. 34% say that this period of non-work does not reduce the opportunity to build a career. 25% believe that it is better to leave maternity leave after a year and a half. 12% advise reducing parental leave to a year,” noted the service’s press service.
A survey of representatives of the economically active population showed that 45% of Crimeans do not see the birth of children by a woman as any obstacle to her career. 27% advise planning your life in such a way as to first achieve your career goals and only then devote yourself to motherhood. 13%, on the contrary, believe: first children — then career.
Women themselves who have children under the age of 16 more often claim that their career plans have not changed after giving birth. 29% began to pay less attention to their career, preferring motherhood. 15%, on the contrary, focused on growth in position and income level.
After completing maternity leave, 46% of women change jobs. 21% return to their old place. And only 4% return to work with a promotion.
