In a survey of the Search for highly paid work Superjob Employed representatives of the economically active population from the Crimea with a leader took part.
Every second working resident of Crimea (53%) prefers that the leader addresses him to “you”: 28%-by name and patronymic, 25%-by name. For 37% of respondents, an appeal to «you» and by name is acceptable.
Women are more often than men choose a formal style of communication on “you” by name and patronymic (31% versus 25%, respectively) and semi-formal-on “you”, but by name (27 and 23%). 39% of men and 35% of women are calm about the «you» by the boss.
Age also affects preferences: among workers over 45 years old, every third would like the leadership to him to “you” by name and patronymic. Among the inhabitants of Crimea under 35, there are only 16%, for young people, informal “you” (46%) are more often permissible for young people.
It is natural that the appeal to the “you” and by name and patronymic is more acceptable with a significant difference in age when the boss is younger than the subordinate for more than 10 years. Informal appeal to “you” is more often allowed when a leader of about the same age with a respondent or older.
The higher the income level of the respondents, the easier they relate to the appeal to the «you» from the leadership.
