Every second Crimean supports the cancellation of festive events for the New Year

The authorities of the Leningrad region, St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod announced that New Year’s festive events would be cancelled. SuperJob, a high-paying job search service, found out whether Russians support such an initiative and whether companies will refuse New Year’s corporate parties this year. HR managers and economically active citizens from Crimea took part in the survey.
4 out of employers are planning New Year’s corporate parties: 8% will celebrate the New Year in the office, more 23% are preparing a party in a restaurant, 7% are planning a trip out of town, 2% are planning other options for celebrating , the press service of the service notes.
At the same time, every second Crimean (52%) supported the trend to refrain from public events for this New Year. Moreover, women advocate the abolition of New Year’s mass entertainments more often than men (59 and 41%, respectively), and respondents are older 45 years — more often than citizens up to 12 years (56 and 43%).
