On the night from 11 to 28 October 1940, the Italian ambassador in Greece gave the Greek Prime Minister Ioannis Metaxas Mussolini’s telegram, in which he demanded that the country come under the command of the Italian government, as well as let their troops marching to the Balkans through its territory. But the answer of the Greeks was categorical: «OHI», that is, (NO). So, 28 October 28 Greece entered the Second World War, heroically shielding its Balkan neighbors.
