Exercises are underway: in Saki they “fought” cholera, and in Sevastopol — with the plague

Sanitary doctors, as well as infectious disease specialists and epidemiologists, report «Sevastopol newspaper», conducted interdepartmental tactical and special exercises in Sevastopol. They needed to act in concert when “identifying a person with signs of a particularly dangerous infection.”

Practical skills were developed in carrying out a set of anti-epidemic (preventive) measures for sanitary protection of the territory of Sevastopol when identifying a person with signs of a particularly dangerous infection. The exercise problem has been solved and the goals have been achieved. The results showed the coherence of all services— said in Rospotrebnadzor for Crimea and Sevastopol.

The training was attended by specialists from Rospotrebnadzor, including employees of the Anti-Plague Station of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, doctors of the infectious diseases hospital, and the first, fifth and ninth city hospitals.

Meanwhile, the city of Saki held its own exercises. There, employees of Rospotrebnadzor in Yevpatoria and the Saki region trained to eliminate a hypothetical outbreak of cholera. Hospital doctors, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs were involved in the exercises.

Based on the results of the exercise, the theoretical and practical knowledge of medical personnel was assessed; equipment, accessibility and correct use of protective clothing, equipment for collecting material for laboratory research, equipment with medicines; completeness and timeliness of information transfer in accordance with the Alert Scheme— reported the press service.
