Exercises of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the town of Chernomorskoye: the district hospital was “burning”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Russian Emergency Situations Ministry specialists throughout the peninsula regularly conduct training. The day before, fire-tactical exercises on the 2nd call level were held at the Black Sea Central Regional Hospital. According to legend, in the office on the second floor of the surgery department of the day hospital, due to emergency operation of electrical equipment, a short circuit occurred, followed by a fire. The fire began to spread through the furniture in the room, combustible floor and wall coverings, and began to spread throughout the department with abundant smoke in the neighboring rooms.
In the event of a fire, the most important thing is to act quickly and accurately not only for firefighters, but also for local administration. It was important for the hospital management to practice prompt transmission of information about a fire, and for employees to organize the evacuation of patients and staff. According to the conditions of the exercise, extinguishing the resulting fire using primary means was impossible due to heavy smoke.
The first crews arrived at the scene in 2 minutes, organized combat deployment and the formation of GDZS units, which went on reconnaissance. During its course, two conditionally injured people were found who were unable to evacuate on their own. Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations took them out of the building and handed them over to ambulance doctors.— said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea.
To extinguish the simulated fire, 14 units of equipment and 52 people were involved, of which 6 units of equipment and 26 personnel were from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. In less than an hour, they dealt with the fire and protected neighboring premises, which made it possible to localize and then eliminate the consequences of the short circuit.
