The memorial complex of Ismail Gasprinsky of the Bakhchisarai Historical, Cultural and Archaeological Museum-Reserve presents the exhibition «The Art of Healing».
The exhibition project is an excursion into the history of medicine through unique items from the funds of the Bakhchisaray Museum-Reserve. Its visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted with the presentation on the development of medicine in the Crimean Khanate, recipes, the texts of which are presented in translation in the exposition.
Of particular interest are the handwritten books on medicine of the 17th century exhibited for the first time, which were used in their practice by medieval physicians of the Crimean Khanate, books with recipes of the 19th centuries, printed publications about epidemics and measures to protect against their spread in the late 19th — early 20th centuries, published by Ismail Gasprinsky— noted in the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
The exhibition will run until 25 September.
