Expanding the availability of financial services for businesses in rural areas of Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

One of the priority areas for the development of the region, experts in the press service of the Government of Sevastopol note, is to increase the availability of financial services for residents of remote and sparsely populated areas. For three years, a lot of work has been done with the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and commercial banks to increase the number of ATMs and branches. Currently, more than 98% of the city’s population, including rural areas, lives in the green zone in terms of affordability. Last year alone, 28 ATMs and 787 POS-terminals were installed in the city.

Work to improve financial inclusion in remote, sparsely populated and hard-to-reach areas of Sevastopol is taking place in accordance with the road map. We constantly hold meetings with all project participants. At the moment, special attention is paid to the development of digital services, improving the financial literacy of residents and entrepreneurs, popularizing the fast payment system, which allows businesses to accept non-cash payments for goods and services, including using QR codes.— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the manager of the Sevastopol branch of the Southern Main Department of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Mikhail Bezhan.

A meeting of the coordinating council for the development of the financial market and increasing the availability of financial services in Sevastopol was held on the basis of the My Business center under the leadership of Vice-Governor Maria Litovko. Representatives of the SME Corporation, as well as the city’s banks, presented preferential products and plans to expand the availability of their receipt by businesses.

We had a fruitful meeting with credit institutions of the city of Sevastopol. We continue to work on expanding the offer of preferential financial products, including on the basis of our three funds — guarantee, microfinance, and industrial development. Banks and the SME Corporation are also making every effort to maintain preferential rates and provide businesses with «cheap» money.— says the Deputy Governor of Sevastopol Maria Litovko.

For all questions that arise in the process of doing business, as well as for consulting support, please contact the My Business center by phone +7 (8692) 22-92-92 or at Oktyabrskaya Revolyutsii Avenue, 42-B, building 6.

Recall that support is provided as part of the implementation of regional projects «Acceleration of small and medium-sized businesses» and «Creating conditions for an easy start and comfortable doing business» of the national project «Small and medium-sized businesses».
