«Experienced a storm of emotions»: a nurse from Crimea won 1 million rubles in «Russian Lotto»

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Several years ago, Olga Gorlova*, a resident of Feodosia, developed a hobby — participating in state lotteries from Stoloto. And in the 1473rd draw of Russian Lotto, the girl won 1,000,000 rubles.

Olga is a nurse by profession. One day she was returning home from work and saw a Stoloto brand store. Then she got the idea to buy a couple of tickets for the upcoming draw.

At first I even passed by the Stoloto sales point, but then I returned. This became a fateful decision for me— recalls a resident of the city of Feodosia. — The day after the draw I checked the tickets on the Stoloto website. I experienced a storm of emotions when I saw the win!

Olga plans to spend her prize money responsibly, but she has not yet decided what to spend this unexpected gift of fate on.

Since 2014, all lotteries in Russia are state-owned, organized by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, and conducted under the state supervision of the Federal Tax Service of Russia. State lotteries distributed by Stoloto, through targeted deductions, are a significant source of replenishment of the federal budget of the Russian Federation. Targeted deductions from lottery activities are used to finance socially significant facilities and events, including events for the development of physical culture and sports, high-performance sports and the system of training sports reserves — thus making a significant contribution to improving the quality of life of Russians.
