Demand for summer tours to Crimea for early bookings has increased by 50% compared to January-February 2023, reports Tourist portal of Crimea. Many hotels offer summer vacations with a discount of up to 40% for those guests who reserve their vacation now. This was reported in Association of Tour Operators of Russia.
Thus, the Intourist company reports a threefold increase in the number of bookings compared to the beginning of last year: now Crimea is being sold almost as in the pre-Covid period. Taking into account the lack of direct flights to Simferopol, the tour operator calls this result good.
Compared to January-February last year, the demand for tours to Crimea at the early booking stage increased by 50%, shared Sergei Romashkin, vice-president of ATOR, general director of the tour operator Dolphin. Approximately 85% of all bookings occur in May-August. According to Dolphin, currently the cost of a 7-day all-inclusive tour for two for the May holidays and in the first half of June (excluding travel) is: to a three-star hotel — from 45 thousand rubles, in a four-star hotel — from 60 thousand rubles, a five-star hotel with full board — from 110 thousand rubles.
Just like a year earlier, sanatoriums and boarding houses with extensive infrastructure and a varied range of health services are in great demand in Crimea. 4-5 star hotels offering all-inclusive and full board formats are popular.
The high demand for early booking is also due to the fact that at this stage many accommodation facilities offer profitable promotions. According to Multitura, depending on the room category and arrival date, discounts on accommodation at premium properties are up to 40%. For some, special offers will be valid until the end of February, for others until the end of March.– emphasized in ATOR.
Based on current applications, tour operator Let’s Fly claims that 35% of Russians plan to travel to Crimea as a couple, 27% as a threesome, and 25% as a foursome. The depth of sales has also increased. According to FUN & SUN, if in 2023 travelers booked a vacation in Crimea 87 days before arrival, then in 2024 — 139. And the Russian Express company added that they already have reservations for arrivals in September-October .
