Experts announce stabilization of food prices in Crimea

The price situation in the Republic of Crimea has stabilized, there is no increase in prices for socially important food products, they reported TASS at the regional Ministry of Industrial Policy.

In February, the head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, reported that an analysis of Crimean retail chains showed that prices for a number of socially significant goods were inflated by up to 90% of the premium cost.

According to the Federal State Statistics Service, as well as taking into account the data on the weekly dynamics of prices for socially important food products, the price situation is currently at a stable level, with no price increases, taking into account the seasonal factor, observedsays the response to the request signed by the Minister of Industrial Policy Anushavan Aghajanyan.

It is noted that as a result of monitoring, which was carried out on behalf of the head of the republic, the greatest added value was from intermediary companies providing services for the delivery of products from manufacturers online.

Price stabilization

Earlier, Aksenov reported that on March 12, an agreement was signed between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea and food producers, subjects of the wholesale and retail trade system to reduce prices by up to 30%.

The list includes 30 items of socially significant food products. 581 retail outlets (stores of large retail chains) are joining this agreement. The head of the republic clarified that wholesale suppliers also took upon themselves the obligation not to exceed the trade margin by more than 5%. He also noted that he had given instructions to work on this issue with small stores.

The regional Ministry of Industry notes that following the signing of the agreement, prices in retail chains were reduced by an average of 20%, and in some cases, for some items, by up to 40%.

They are preparing to sign an agreement between municipal administrations and local business entities, which will stabilize prices in non-chain retail stores in all municipalities of the Republic of Crimea.
