“Extraordinary results of the week” from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Crimea

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Crimea summed up the results of the week for the period from November 27 to December 3. The main theme is storm and flooding of territories. As a result of dangerous meteorological phenomena, private households, apartment buildings, country houses, and personal plots were flooded.

Roof damage and fallen trees were recorded. The disaster affected 320 settlements in 18 municipalities. Power supply was disrupted in 273 settlements, over 500 thousand people were without electricity. As a result of the disaster, 12 people were injured. Unfortunately, 5 people diednoted the emergency department.

During the week, 34 fires occurred in Crimea, of which 29 were man-made, 1 person was injured, 25 people were evacuated.

On water bodies: 1 incident was recorded during the reporting period. Incidents in mountainous and forested areas: 2 incidents were recorded. 20 accidents were registered (2 people died, 1 person was saved, 18 victims were helped)— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.

Toward the end of the week, a car fire occurred in Crimea — in the village of Kiparisnoye (Alushta urban district), a Daewoo Matiz burned out early in the morning. Experts are investigating the cause of the incident.

The single emergency number “112” received 29,715 calls. All calls were communicated to emergency services and municipal emergency services.
