Families of Heroes of the Russian Federation who received the status posthumously will be entitled to benefits

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Family members of Heroes of the Russian Federation who received the title posthumously should receive benefits. This order from the President of the Russian Federation is reported on the Kremlin website.

Vladimir Putin instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to make appropriate changes to the law by April 1. It is clarified that the benefits should be similar to those provided to family members of Heroes of the Russian Federation who were awarded this title during their lifetime. The person responsible for implementation is Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. According to the same list of instructions, payments to family members of deceased special operation participants must be provided no later than three months after the submission of the relevant application. This must also be completed before April 1, — reports Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

The head of state also instructed that the status of combat veteran be granted to fighters of the Northern Military District on the basis of documents on injuries received and awards, even if they did not have a signed contract.

The instructions were given following a meeting between the president and family members of military personnel who died in the Northern Military District, the Kremlin press service said in a statement.
