From February 1, 2024, the Sevastopol Branch of the Social Fund of Russia will increase the amount of maternity capital for all families that have not yet used it. Parents who have saved part of the funds on the certificate will also receive an indexation of 7.5%. The larger the unused amount, the higher the increase will be after indexation.
The maximum increase awaits those Sevastopol families who have never used a certificate yet. For them, the amount will immediately increase by 44 thousand rubles. If increased maternity capital has been issued for the second child and there have been no expenses, the increase will already be 58 thousand rubles. Parents who have retained part of their maternity capital also have the right to count on indexation. If, after all the orders, the family has, for example, 375 thousand rubles left, this is the amount that will be increased in February next year by 7.5%. As a result, the family will be able to manage higher funds in the amount of 403 thousand rubles,” the department’s press service reported.
Information on the amount of unspent maternity capital is available to Sevastopol parents on the government services portal. The corresponding service of the Social Fund (https://esia.gosuslugi.ru/login/) allows you to always have at hand up-to-date data on the funds that the family can allocate to existing areas of the program.
Let us recall that, according to its terms, maternity capital is subject to indexation once a year to the level of actual inflation. According to the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development, it will be 7.5% by the end of this year. From February 1, 2024, the amount of maternity capital for the first child will increase to almost 631 thousand rubles. Increased maternity capital for the second child will increase to 833.8 thousand rubles.
