The State Duma adopted in the second and third readings lawwhich allows you to use maternity capital funds for the reconstruction of residential premises in townhouses.

Changes are being made to Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Additional Measures of State Support for Families with Children” on the reconstruction of a blocked building using maternal (family) capital.

Families with children will have an additional opportunity to improve their living conditions using maternity capital,” said Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. — They will be able to use these funds to repair housing located in townhouses, duplexes and other residential buildings. This is important, given that this type of housing is becoming increasingly popular in our country, especially in large cities… The State Duma is consistently working to expand the possibilities of using maternity capital funds. This program is a great contribution to improving the demographic situation and supporting young and large families.

According to Volodin, the country’s budget for next year provides not only for the continuation of maternity capital payments, but also for its indexation taking into account inflation.
