Family from Sevastopol goes to Tomsk for the All-Russian GTO Festival

In less than a week, the All-Russian GTO Festival among family teams will start in Tomsk. Sevastopol will be represented at this large-scale event by the Sosnovsky family, which took first place in the regional stage of the competition.

The regional stage of the All-Russian GTO Festival among families was held on July 6 on the eve of Family and Loyalty Day. The competition brought together the most athletic and united representatives of the city, ready to show their physical fitness and team spirit. Dozens of families competed for the right to participate in the final, but only one managed to earn the honorable first place and the right to represent Sevastopol at the All-Russian level. At the regional stage, families competed in such tests as forward bending, lifting the body from a lying position, bending and unbending the arms in a prone position, pull-ups, running various distances and a long jump. According to the results of the competition, the Vysotsky family took second place, and the Vasin family took third, — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol reported.

The winner of the regional stage was the Sosnovsky family, who will go to Tomsk to represent our city at the All-Russian GTO Festival. In the final, which will take place on August 22, they will face serious challenges along with teams from other regions of Russia. A total of 54 families will take part in the festival — this is 216 people who passed the qualifying stages throughout the country.

The festival in Tomsk promises to be not only a sporting event, but also a real celebration of unity and family values.
