Fan disconnects of mobile Internet are introduced in the Crimea and in the south of Russia

Mobile Internet in the Crimea and in the south of Russia will be disabled for a period from several hours to several days in connection with the need to counteract the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was warned by the adviser to the head of the republic Oleg Kryuchkov.

The mobile Internet will turn off the center from the center in the south of the Russian Federation and in the Crimea … on the federal team (without the participation of local authorities) … for several hours or even days— said in the message.

It is noted that such measures since 2024 have already affected more than 60 regions of Russia, and in Crimea they will touch on, including large cities: Simferopol, Yalta, Yevpatoria.

This is done to counteract the attacks and … excluding the possibility of managing and guiding enemy diverse drones, — specified in the message of an adviser to the head of the republic.

According to Kryuchkov, the voice communications and SMS will work stably through the cell channels.

Crimeans and guests of the peninsula during a long shutdown of mobile Internet are recommended to use home, office and city Wi-Fi networks. At the same time, outside the house and office, to give preference to Wi-Fi in institutions (cafes, hotels or hotels), and not to use open anonymous networks, as they can be dangerous.

Since Wi-Fi and voice calls reduce the charge of the telephone battery much faster, you should keep a deliberately charged powerbank with you.

It is also recommended to write a taxi number in the region and download offline cards: Yandex Cards/Navigator, 2GIS, Maps.me, Organic Maps, which will help where GPS and GLONASS acts.

In addition, the authorities are advised to withdraw cash in case of necessity, since when disconnecting the Internet, terminals in stores, restaurants and transport may not work.
