Farmers of Sevastopol received 2.5 million rubles each for the development of peasant farms

This year, within the framework of the national project «Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives», two beginning farmers received Agrostartup grants in the amount of 2.5 million rubles. These are heads of peasant farms Natalya Venidiktova, who breeds dairy cows, and Olga Fomina, who grows Shantane carrots.

The provision of state support funds, among other things, contributes to the creation and development of peasant farms in the territory of Sevastopol. Grants issued in 2022 year will increase the amount of farm vegetables and milk in Sevastopol. We strongly support local entrepreneurs who will increase the share of fresh farm products in the market of our city , — quotes the press service of the director of the department of agriculture and the consumer market of Sevastopol Natalia Skoryukova.

Taking into account the peculiarities of the region, the farmer Natalya Venidiktova chose the breeding of cattle, the most adapted to the conditions of the area, the red steppe breed, as the main direction of her activity. According to the expenditure plan attached to the business plan, the entrepreneur will allocate state support funds for the acquisition of a land plot.

Due to the acquisition of a land plot, we plan to increase the dairy herd. We realize this through the natural increase in livestock and the procurement of fodder for livestock , — says Natalya Venidiktova.

Olga Fomina received a grant for the implementation of a project to create and develop her own farm, where she grows Shantane carrots. This variety has become widespread due to its versatility in use and the possibility of growing almost throughout Russia, including Sevastopol.

The head of the farm noted that in the second year, with proper care and favorable weather conditions, the harvest should reach seven tons of carrots.

Recall that the regional project «Creation of a support system for farmers and the development of rural cooperation» has been implemented in Sevastopol since 2019 year. During this time, entrepreneurs were supported in the amount of 23 million rubles.
