FAS Russia will check manufacturers of raw milk and bread
Krympress reports:
The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia conducts additional checks of manufacturers of raw milk. This was announced by the head of the department Maxim Shaskolsky at a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
According to him, the department recorded a high level of margins on a number of goods, in particular butter and bread.
We check the profitability in the dairy market. The financial and economic indicators of the largest manufacturers were analyzed. In some cases, it was established that the increase in selling prices of manufacturers for raw milk and butter was accompanied by abnormally high growth of profitability. We consider it unreasonable,-quoted the Chaskol press service of the Cabinet.
According to the head of the FAS, an additional check is carried out in relation to individual manufacturers of raw milk, including anticarting.
In addition, an analysis was carried out in the bread market. In almost all regions, manufacturers have been identified that occupy a dominant position, said Shaskolsky.
In such regions, we instructed our territorial departments to check the validity of the manufacturer’s prices. In case of violations, antitrust response measures will be taken, ”the head of the department added.
