The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia has issued a warning to mobile operators MTS, Megafon and Beeline for charging additional fees when subscribers are in Crimea and Sevastopol. This is stated in a statement from the agency.
FAS has issued warnings to MTS, Megafon and Beeline telecom operators. The issue concerns the collection of additional fees in addition to the subscription fee when the subscriber is in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol— the message says.
At the same time, as specified in the message, from January 1, 2024, economic conditions have been created for telecom operators to provide their subscribers with communication services in the territory of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol without charging additional fees at the level of the home region.
