In the Dzhankoy district, a man will appear in court on charges of committing an accident that resulted in the death of a person.
The Dzhankoy interdistrict prosecutor’s office approved an indictment in a criminal case against a previously convicted 44-year-old local resident. He is charged under paragraphs. “a”, “c” part 4 art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules, resulting in the death of a person through negligence, by a person who is intoxicated and deprived of the right to drive a vehicle)— reported the supervisory agency.
It was established that at the end of October last year the accused, while intoxicated, was driving an IZH-Yu-5k motorcycle. Moving along the Tavrida – Dzhankoy – Krasnoperekopsk highway, near the village of Kondratyevo, a man drove off the roadway and hit a pedestrian who was moving along the side of the road on the right in the direction of the motorcycle. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian died.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Dzhankoy District Court for consideration on the merits.
